Struggling just to survive in the narrow streets of Paris, two Ecuadorian transexuals try to make ends meet and build their future. We trail Mia and Romina as they live and work in Place de Clichy and the Bois de Boulogne. Raw emotions are revealed as the two recount the past from which they’ve escaped in Ecuador where they were met with prejudice and economic problems. Now in the Parisian sex trade they again face prejudice but also acceptance from others as they ply their trade, working to send money back to their families they left behind. This film with authentic emotional impact draws a strong contrast between the developed and developing countries of the world as we clearly see that there is a haven for everyone who wants one. This poignant film has great success at film festivals, both gay and straight, throughout the world.

 

Luchando solamente para sobrevivir en las estrechas calles de Paris, dos transexuales ecuatorianas tratan de ganarse la vida y construir su futuro mientras se esfuerzan por enviarles dinero a sus familiares a quienes dejaron atras. Seguimos a Mia y a Romina mientras viven y trabajan en Place de Clichy y en el Bois de Boulogne.   Se revelan  emociones desnudas cuando las dos nos relatan su pasado en Ecuador de donde escaparon al encontrarse con prejuicios y problemas economicos. Ahora, en el comercio sexual parisiense se enfrentan nuevamente al prejuicio pero tambien la aceptacion de otros a quienes ofrecen su servicios. Esta pelicula con autentico impacto emocional  muestra el fuerte contraste entre los paises desarrollados y en vias de desarrollo al mismo tiempo que vemos que hay un refugio para todos los que quieren uno. Este conmovedor film ha tenido un resonante exito en festivales de cine, tanto gay como heterosexuales, por todo el mundo.
