Honor the life and music of one of the most influential Afro-Cuban musicians in Cachao: uno mas and catch a glimpse into the history of the maestro. Israel “Cachao” Lopez, the famous mambo musician, bassist and composer, who helped introduce mambo music to mainstream U.S. in the 1950s. Follow the “inventor of the mambo” and master of “descarga” from his early days in Cuba to worldwide recognition. This documentary showcases a live concert in San Francisco and revealing interviews with musical collaborators Andy Garcia (producer of the film), Ray Santos, Orestes Vilato, and John Santos, who will perform at the Gala party that will follow the presentation of this film. Honre la vida y la musica de uno de los musicos afro-cubanos mas influyentes en el film Cachao, uno mas y tenga una vision de la historia del maestro Israel “Cachao” Lopez, el famoso musico de mambo, contrabajista, y compositor, quien ayudo a introducir el mambo en Estados Unidos en los anos 50. Acompane al “ inventor del mambo” y el maestro de la “descarga” desde sus primeros anos en Cuba hasta que llego a alcanzar reconocimiento mundial. Este documental incluye un concierto en vivo que dio Cachao en San Francisco y reveladoras entrevistas con sus colaboradores musicales Andy Garcia (quien es tambien el productor de la pelicula), Ray Santos, Orestes Vilato y John Santos, artista que sera nuestro invitado en la velada de Gala de musica cubana que seguira a la presentacion de este excitante film.
